The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced a new feature on its "Know Your Standards" page that provides summaries of standards for better public understanding. This initiative makes it easier for everyone, to learn about the standards that impact their daily lives, businesses, and safety.

Previously, understanding standards required reading detailed technical documents, which were difficult for the general public. Now, BIS provides simple summaries of these standards. These summaries explain the purpose, key features, and benefits of the standards in an easy-to-understand way.
