

Milk is a significant source of nutrition in India, and is regarded as a wholesome food as it contains all of the essential nutrients. With roughly 200 million metric tonnes of milk produced yearly, India contributes around 22% of world milk output from co-operatives, unions, subsidiaries and private dairies. By and large Milk produced is consumed in the country.
