| SCOPE : | 1) Formulation of standards for terminology, general design and construction, classification, ratings, leading dimensions, safety code of operation and maintenance and testing and inspection methods of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic bulk handling systems and equipment for loose bulk material including fluid material and unit loads (other than those covered by Conveyors, Vertical Hoists and Bucket Elevators Sectional Committee, MED 6) such as: a)Unloading equipment such as wagon tipplers, wagon marshalling equipment, wagon unloading equipment and ship un-loaders b)Stacking and loading equipment such as stackers, reclaimers, ship, wagon and truck loaders c)Hydraulic conveying equipment such as coal and ash conveying equipment d)Pneumatic conveying equipment such as food grains, cement, fertilizer, ash and pulverized conveying equipment; e)Batching and bagging equipment such as automatic bag filling machines and automatic weighing and bagging equipment f)Earth-moving machinery and equipment. g)Non-powered material handling equipment such as hand-trucks, platform trucks, Lifting tables, pallet trucks, stillage lifting trucks and all types of trolleys, wheel barrows 2) Co-ordination of work with ISO/TC 127 `Earth Moving, Machinery’ and ISO/TC 110 Industrial Trucks”. |
