Scope : To formulate Indian Standards on i) Specifications, Terminology, methods of sampling and characterization of solid waste (Excluding Nuclear Waste & Biomedical Waste but includes domestic biomedical waste), ii) Codes of Practices on handling and management of Solid wastes (Excluding Nuclear Waste & Biomedical Waste but includes domestic biomedical waste), iii) Guidelines and codes of practice for Solid waste disposal (Excluding Nuclear Waste & Biomedical Waste but includes domestic biomedical waste).
