| 2 | The EV charging cable is intended to supply power and communication to an EV or plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV). Section 2 of this standard covers the test method specific to EV charging cables of rated voltages up to and including 1 100V. The charging cables are modes 1 to 3 for AC Charging and mode 4 for DC charging and are covered in section 3 and section 4 respectively. Ordinary duty cables with rated voltage 300/500 V are only permitted for charging mode 1. Maximum conductor temperature for the cables in this part of standard is 90 ºC. | |
