| 1 | The provisions of this standard are applicable to following adapted vehicles: SECTION 1: Provisions for adaptation in M1 and N1 category vehicles ̶ When minor modifications are carried out in already type approved vehicle by introducing secondary control(s) and/or allowable minor modifications as listed to enable person with limb disability or person with short stature to drive the vehicle. For the purpose of this standard, the words “person with disability” is used throughout this standard for driver with limb disability or short stature. SECTION 2: Provisions for adapted vehicles of category M1 and M2 having GVW not exceeding 3.5 ton. Adaptation in this part are with respect to vehicle accessibility and wheel chair accommodation. | |
