1 The current revision (fifth revision) is being done to update IS 4707 (Part 2) in line with the latest EC 1223/2009 and to trifurcate it as follows: I. IS 4707 (Part 2) for GNRAS and restricted ingredients. II. IS 4707 (Part 3) for preservatives allowed with restrictions III. IS 4707 (Part 4) for U.V. filters allowed with restrictions Accordingly, in this revision only GNRAS -List of substances which must not form part of the composition of cosmetic products(Annex. A) and List of substances which cosmetic products must not contain except subject to restrictions and conditions laid down (Annex B) are included under IS 4707 Part 2.
